New KS3 Secondary Curriculum Support and Advice

Regional Subject Adviser Support

Hugh Johnson is a Design and Technology Regional Subject Adviser (RSA) for the East Midlands for Design and Technology and is able to offer FREE support to groups of schools and local events across the region up until April 2009.

Starting in September, schools will begin to teach the new Key Stage 3 Programmes of Study. Over the past few months, departments have been planning how best to introduce the new curriculum and make the necessary development and changes to their schemes of work.

Up until April 2009, a team of D&T Regional Subject Advisors (RSAs) are available to support local events. Support can be requested for inputs at events which are attended by groups of D&T teachers from several schools. This could include Local Authority whole school closure days, twilight sessions, workshops at conferences etc. As the resource is limited, RSAs are not available to provide face to face support at single school events although they may be able to offer advice remotely.
